About

José Marconi Andrade Costa 

As a Brazilian clarinetist, Marconi stands out in his musical career as one of the pioneers in the effective study and dissemination of the German clarinet in Brazil, as well as in the propagation of the German clarinet school in his country since 2013. He has developed a notable work in Brazil which later on has covered other parts of the world, such as Germany and the United States, for instance.

Marconi is a musician with international experience. His performance is considered versatile and with a diverse musical style. His musical experience covers many fields as he has been worked in orchestras, wind symphonies, chamber music ensembles, popular music, CD and DVD recordings as well as has been teaching in many music schools.

From 2011 to 2018 he worked as Principal Clarinet of Goiania Symphony (OSGO), Brazil. In addition to teaching clarinet and saxophone in the city of Goiânia since 2005, he has been working as a guest professor at festivals and congresses in several cities in Brazil.

Still in his youth, won the Young Soloist Award, FURNAS Geração Musical Program, Furnas Centrais Eletricas, 2004. And in 2005, he received the Vitae Arts-Music award from FUNDAÇÃO VITAE.

Since 2019, Marconi Andrade has been focused exclusively on the study and practice of the German clarinet.
